Description
BSCO Grout CG-A is a high-performance, cement-based, shrinkage-controlled high performance additive designed for the repair of damaged concrete surfaces, static cracks, and minor voids, under-plate grouting. It is specially formulated with polymer modifiers and shrinkage compensating additives to provide superior adhesion, minimal cracking, and a smooth finish.BSCO GroutCG-A is suitable for both vertical and overhead applications, and can be applied in thicknesses from 10mm to 100mm for flowable and 5-50mm as mortar paste
Fields of Application
✓ Filling of static cracks, honeycombs, and surface voids in concrete
✓ Re-profiling edges and corners of beams, columns, and staircases
✓ Surface repair before painting or coating
✓ Ceilings, soffits, precast concrete elements
✓ Interior and exterior applications
Advantages
✓ Strong, durable bond for concrete, steel, and masonry repairs
✓ Controlled expansion reduces shrinkage and cracking
✓ Pumpable, self-leveling, and stable for complex gaps and long runs
✓ Single-component, factory-mixed, just add water
Application
Surface Prep
Substrate must be clean, sound, and roughened Remove dust, oil, laitance, loose concrete, and other contaminants Dampen the surface with clean water beforeapplying the mortar Avoid standing water
Mixing
1. Mix the full 20 kg bag with 2.6 - 3.0 litres of
clean water to Achieve desired consistency.
2. Use a low-speed electric drill or mechanical
mixer for best results.
3. Let the mix rest for 2–3 minutes and remix briefly.
Application
✓ Apply mixed mortar by gloved hand, trowel, or screed board onto the primed substrate
✓ Apply in layers of 5 mm minimum to 30 mm maximum per layer
✓ For depths exceeding 30 mm, allow previous
layer to reach initial set (≥ 6 hrs) before subsequent layers
✓ Compact mortar firmly into cavities and against reinforcement to avoid voids
✓ Finish by wet-trowelling or floating to required surface texture
✓ For overhead applications: use stiffer
consistency (lower w/p) or form-and-pour technique Curing
✓. Adequate curing is essential for strength
development and durability. Cure using one or more of the following methods:
✓ Wet burlap kept continuously moist for minimum 7 days
✓ Approved curing compound applied immediately after surface finishing
✓ In hot / windy conditions, shading, wind
barriers, and increased curing frequency are mandatory
Clean
Clean tools and mixing containers with water immediately after use. Dried material can only be removed by mechanical methods.
